The Festa da Musica in Belo Horizonte, this year in its third edition, took place from October 9th to 18th. The opening attraction was this solo concert by Egberto Gismonti.

bigfootpezao has recorded the performance and has generously uploaded it on dimeadozen.org. It should be remembered that this is an audience recording. We cannot expect the same kind of sound quality from an individual holding up a microphone, even if he sits in the first row, that we might get from a professional recording. So, if you're looking for audiophile bliss, this is probably not for you.

Having said that, I found it very enjoyable to hear Egberto Gismonti present a selection of his "Greatest Hits." And I don't think I've ever heard him play anything by Astor Piazzolla before. I highly recomend this recording.
